Public procurement relies on brilliant, dedicated people for effective delivery.
This Award focuses on the Next Generation of procurement professional – those who are in the early stages of their public procurement career and are already making a tangible contribution to the success of their organisation.
Whether you have joined a procurement team through a specific programme (for example, Procurement People of Tomorrow in Scotland), from university, as a career move later in life or another route entirely, this category recognises the importance of bringing new talent into the sector.
Submissions are welcomed from any public sector contracting authority and should be supported by the contracting authority that employs the entrant – for example, a written statement with the name and position of the sponsor should be included either within the submission or as an attachment.
Open to: Individuals working in public sector organisations
Timescale: A GO Awards submission in this category must cover employment during the period July 2022 to June 2024.
